Riverfront Boardwalk Trail The Riverfront Boardwalk is a sightseeing walkway following the banks of the Yukon River located in the small village of Carmacks, Yukon Territory, Canada. The walkway provides an opportunity to sightsee on foot while visiting in the village. Exploring the walkway provides some good views of the river, nearby mountains and some of the heritage buildings located throughout the village. The Riverfront Boardwalk is very wheelchair friendly. The walkway is lined with interpretive signs, sitting benches, viewing platforms and includes a sightseeing gazebo. The signs educate visitors on the history, traditions and eco systems located in the region. The Boardwalk Trail extends from the campground in the village to the Carmacks Roadhouse. Along the route are some of the 16 heritage sites located in the village. Some of the heritage buildings located near the Riverfront Boardwalk include the High Cache, Telegraph Station (1915) and Walker's Cabin.
