Auriol Trail. A 15 kilometre ( 9 mi ) adventure trail in the Kluane National Park and Reserve. The trail is popular for hiking, backpacking, wilderness camping and xc skiing. The maximum elevation reached during this adventure exceeds 1160 metres (3800 feet). [ more information ] Dezadeash River Trail. A 5.5 kilometre ( 3 mi ) loop trail with some viewing platforms overlooking the river. The activity loop route is well maintained, level and easy going making it very family friendly. Popular for hiking, birdwatching and wildlife sightings . [ more information ] Kathleen Lake. A lake, day use area, hiking trails and campground. The area is popular for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, hiking, backpacking, wilderness camping, horseback riding, cross country skiing and picnicking. [ more information ] King's Thorne Trail. A 10 kilometre ( 6 mi ) hike which is considered difficult and challenging. From beginning to end the trail experiences an elevation gain of about 548 metres (1800 feet ). [ more information ] Kluane National Park. A 21,980 square kilometre wilderness mountain park popular for hiking, sightseeing, flight seeing, backpacking, rafting, rock climbing, canoeing, mountaineering, fishing, camping, dog sledding, cross country skiing, ice fishing and more. [ more information ] Pine Lake. A small campground lake park located on the Alaska Highway. It is a popular recreation destination for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, camping, sightseeing and swimming. [ more information ] Rock Glacier Trail. The trail is an interpretive trail detailing the history of a rock glacier. The 3.2 kilometre ( 2.1 mi ) hiking route follows a boardwalk and rock slide trail leading up to the toe of a rock glacier and a viewing platform overlooking Dezadeash Lake. [ more information ] Sheep Mountain.The mountain is popular for day hikes, multi day backpacking adventures and horseback riding when in the Kluane National Park & Reserve. It also an area in the park that is highly recommended for wildlife sightings. [ more information ] Spruce Beetle Lake. The family friendly hiking trail is an educational adventure with interpretive signs detailing forest regeneration and the life cycle of the Spruce Beetle and the destruction resulting from their feeding habits on the forests of the Yukon Territory.
